The new launcher explained

Start: Here you can start the game, see the latest news, if the server is online and how many players are currently playing.

Service: A pop up will appear asking you to login. If you don’t have a Project Paradise 2 account yet, create one in the game like you see here. If you already have one, login with the same credentials that you used in-game.

Once logged in, you have the option to upload your savegame, so your progress will be stored on the PP2 cloud and can be downloaded at any time, in case your savegame gets lost/corrupted.

If you enable the “local savegame backup”-toggle, your savegame will be copied into a seperate folder. You can choose if this should happen on game startup, or game closing.

The “savepoints” field determines how many older versions of your savegame should be backed up. The recommended amount is 3-4.

Discovery: This is the built-in mod manager that lets you download mods. We recommend the 4 GB patch for everyone for a more stable game experience.

Settings:

• Online mode: Enables you to switch between Offline/Online mode.
• Gamebuild: Enabled by default, turn off if you unpack the game to add other mods.
• Discord RPC: Enable it to display Project Paradise 2 as your activity on your discord profile.
• Update Check: Turn on to check for new launcher updates.
• UPnP enabled: Recommended to turn on for an open NAT type for a better online experience.
• Steam Build: Enable if you downloaded the game from steam.
• Select Game: Allows you to set the game path, should always be set to TestDrive2.exe.
• Patch Connection: Press if you get connection errors in-game.
